Craig Phillip Robinson

Craig Phillip Robinson (born October 25, 1971) is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He is best known for his roles in Pineapple Express as the assassin Matheson, The Office as Darryl Philbin and Zack and Miri Make a Porno as Delaney.

Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Robinson has appeared in feature films and television programs. He currently plays Darryl Philbin on the American version of The Office, and was promoted to a starring role in the fourth season. Robinson's film work includes roles in Knocked Up, Pineapple Express, Fanboys, Daddy's Little Girls, Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Miss March. He has appeared in the television series Arrested Development, Friends and Reno 911! and in the music video for the Red Hot Chili Peppers song "Hump de Bump".

Prior to a career in show business, Robinson was a K-8 teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. He got his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and his masters of education from Saint Xavier University. He began doing stand-up and taking classes in improv and acting at The Second City in Chicago.

For a number of years Robinson and comedian Jerry Minor had a comedy act where they performed as musical duo "L. Witherspoon & Chucky", with Minor as smooth singing "L. Witherspoon" and Robinson as "Chucky", the keyboard player and back-up singer. They had performed the act on several stand-up shows on Comedy Central as well as on Real Time with Bill Maher and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
