Treating Insomnia with Hypnosis London

Insomnia causes lack of sleep and it is primarily a patient's complaint. It is a symptom that means you sleep too short, too light or in broken lines and it is generally considered getting insufficient sleep. The interrogation and examination of the patient on hypnosis London in order to understand the insomnia is then divided into two main groups of insomnia, according to the initial causative factor.

The main causes for chemical, organic insomnia:

• muscle pain, bone or visceral disrupt all or part of sleep.
• Circulatory disorders of the lower limbs that are causing tingling, cramping or impatience that prevent sleep.
• Sleep Apnea
that awaken the patient (8.5% of men between 40 and 65).
• Absorptions of exciting drinks like tea, coffee, alcohol, amphetamines, vitamin C.
• Abuse of sedatives, including the increased doses when the efficiency decreases.

The main causes related to thought that are provoking insomnia

• Stress from emotional or professional conflicts and before an examination or contest.
• The anxiety depression, where the insomnia is a symptom of some other manifestations of fear and anxiety.

Hypnotherapy London is indicated in the cases of insomnia that are to be integrated in the second group and you can experience the progressive withdrawal of hypnotics in these cases.

The insomnia is experienced in these cases as a desire for arousal, that is controlling everything and nothing. The intellectual hyperactivity leaves no room for respite and a well deserved rest. The chronic discomfort when sleep is no longer a refuge includes the fear of sleep, then fear not being able to sleep. Sleep deprivation eventually cause mental and physical exhaustion.

The hypnotic drugs are the cure that is the worst of all possible treatments because they are effective for sleep, but they create addiction. The patients that are moved into the certainty of sleep certainly and eventually prefer the stable imbalance that is caused by drugs in unstable equilibrium, they prefer a world without certainty to the better treatment.

Hypnosis London is a very effective therapy for any type of sleep disorders. Because of the abuse of the sleeping pills, this treatment often takes the appearance of a detoxification with all the symptoms of drug addiction that might appear. After this test, the confidence in your body will be slowly returning and the pleasure of sleeping without medication will be regained by the patient.

The technique of hypnosis London is used to relieve anxiety by suggestions of relaxation, and to realize a true rehabilitation of sleep. Hypnosis London has a kinship with falling asleep in that it requires a sensory deprivation: noise, light, temperature, and psychophysical relaxation before reaching the lethargy triggering sleep itself.

The peculiarity of the insomniac is precisely to help sleep; by obstructing a natural process, it is likely that attempts to control will definitely let go under hypnosis. The patient that is undergoing this treatment must be alert and he needs to be reminded that the suggestions will require a half-sleep in order to be effective.

Tiger Woods wins the JBWere Australian Masters at Kingston Heath by two shots Posted by admin | November 16th, 2009

Tiger Woods has won the JBWere Masters at Kingston Heath, the world No.1 carding a four-under-par final round to claim the title by two shots from Greg Chalmers. “I really felt comfortable with my swing today … I did some rehearsals last night, and felt very comfortable with what I was trying to do today.” – Tiger Woods The world No.1 rediscoved his A-game for the final round at Kingston Heath.

The American provided immediate validation for the massive hype and his $3 million appearance fee when he won for the first time in Australia.

Tiger Woods, who finished 14-under-par on 274, after rounds of 66, 68, 72 and 68, defeated Chalmers, from Western Australia, who was outright second ahead of Jason Dufner, from the United States, and Francois Delamontagne, from France, in equal third at 10-under-par.

Adelaide’s Adam Bland carded the best round of the day, a 67, while former Masters champions Craig Spence and Aaron Baddeley matched Woods’s 68.

Defending titleholder Rod Pampling fired a final-round 73 to finish equal-14th at four-under, while Victorian Alistair Presnell finished five-under, in a tie for 12th place, to retain top ranking on the Australasian Tour Order of Merit.

Tiger Woods said after his round that he had achieved all that he had travelled Down Under to do.

Tiger Woods produced an outstanding performance in the pressure-packed final round, in which pundits

such as Jack Newton pondered whether the world No.1 would be able to overcome the travails he experienced in the third round.

Chalmers, the 1998 Australian Open Champion, made early birdies to remain in contention, but missed birdie opportunities at the 14th and 16th holes proved costly.

Australians Nitties and Chalmers had gone into the final round sharing the lead with Tiger Woods at 10-under.

But Tiger Woods began his day confidently when he opened with a birdie at the par-five 1st, and he was three-under when he reached the turn in 33.

Woods broke out of a tie to seize the outright lead when he moved to 12-under-par with a birdie three at the 5th hole.

He was then able to keep his pursuers at bay, and he stretched his break to three shots when he moved to 14-under with a birdie at the par-five 12th hole.

Tiger Woods dropped a shot at the 13th hole, his only bogey of the day, only his fourth of the week, after his approach shot bounced through the green, but he rebounded when he picked up a shot at the par-three 15th.

That birdie virtually assured the world No.1 of the title, but he was nevertheless disappointed to miss a birdie chance to consolidate his advantage at the 16th hole.

Tiger Woods parred his closing three holes, and he was assured of the victory when Chalmers, who needed an eagle two at the last to force a play-off, failed to hole his second shot at the 18th.

Tiger Woods’s victory was the 93rd of his professional career, and the seventh of the year.

He will next play his final tournament of the season, the Chevron World Challenge at Thousand Oaks, California, from December 3-6.

Tiger Woods Mea Culpa Fails To Explain Crash

Golf superstar Tiger Woods took responsibility for an "embarrassing" late-night car crash, but declined to tell his story to police even as he lashed out at "unfounded and malicious rumors."

Tiger Woods, 33, posted a statement on his website Sunday saying he was solely responsible for the accident outside his Florida home, which left him with facial cuts, some bruises and a welter of unwelcome publicity.

"This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me," the 14-time major golf champion said. "I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again."

But Tiger Woods again declined to speak to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers, who had expected to talk with him as part of their investigation into the accident.

Officers, who were turned away on both Friday and Saturday, were to meet Tiger Woods at his home and discuss how his car came to hit a fire hydrant and then a tree near his two million-dollar home in the suburbs of Orlando.

Instead, FHP spokeswoman Sergeant Kim Montes said troopers who arrived at the house were met by Woods' lawyer Mark Nejame, who said Tiger Woods would not be meeting with them on Sunday.

"It has not been rescheduled," said Montes, who said the crash remains under investigation and could still result in charges. Under Florida law Tiger Woods is not obliged to give a statement.

"Mr. Woods' attorney provided the troopers with Mr. Woods' driver's license information, registration and current proof of insurance as required by Florida law," Montes said.

Authorities have already said alcohol wasn't a factor in the crash. Montes said that investigators wanted to give Tiger Woods an opportunity to give his version of events.

Early FHP reports that Tiger Woods was seriously hurt sparked worldwide interest. Even as it became clear Tiger Woods was not seriously harmed, speculation swirled as to why he was leaving his house at 2:25 in the morning and how he came to crash just after exiting his home.

Tiger Woods chose not to address those questions.

"Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible," he said.

Leading the speculation, the celebrity news website TMZ.com reported that a dispute between Tiger Woods and his wife, former model Elin Nordegren of Sweden, was at the center of the incident.

By the website's account, Nordegren confronted her husband about tabloid reports that he was having an affair with a New York club hostess.

"The only person responsible for the accident is me," Tiger Woods said. "My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false."

The FHP released a recording of a 911 emergency call in which a shaken neighbor of Tiger Woods tells dispatchers that a black Cadillac Escalade hit a tree outside his house.

"I have someone down in front of my house," says the caller, who is not identified and never mentions Tiger Woods by name. "I see him, he's laying down."

During the call, a woman yells out in the background "What happened?"

The neighbor responds that he has police on the line to report an accident. Not long after, the poor telephone connection is lost.

Daniel Saylor, police chief of the Orlando suburb of Windermere, has said Woods' wife used a golf club to smash out a rear window to help extricate him after she heard the crash from inside their home.

"This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me," Tiger Woods said. "I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be."

Tiger Woods is one of the best-known athletes in the world. According to Forbes business magazine, he is the first athlete to break through the billion-dollar earnings mark.

He and Elin have been married for five years and have two children, daughter Sam Alexis, born in 2007, and son Charlie Axel, born in February.

At age 25, Tiger Woods won the US Open, the British Open, the USPGA and the Masters on a roll to make him the first simultaneous holder of all four major championship titles.

Tiger Woods is scheduled to play his last tournament of 2009 next week, when he hosts the Chevron World Challenge in the Los Angeles suburb of Thousand Oaks.

The annual event benefits his charitable foundation.

Tiger Woods was scheduled to hold a news conference there on Tuesday, and organizers said Sunday they had not been notified of any change.

For 3rd time, Tiger Woods Cancels Meeting With Police

Tiger Woods finally gave his side of the story Sunday — on his Web site, not to police — and took the blame for an "embarrassing" car crash that gave him cuts, bruises and public scrutiny like never before.

His statement failed to clear up any questions about the middle-of-the-night accident outside his Isleworth estate in which his wife told police she used a golf club to smash the back windows of the Cadillac SUV to help him out.

"This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me," Tiger Woods said on his Web site. "I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again."

The statement was posted around 2 p.m. Sunday, about an hour after Woods' attorney told the Florida Highway Patrol that for the third straight day golf's No. 1 player would be unavailable to talk to troopers.

This time, the meeting was not rescheduled.

Even so, Sgt. Kim Montes of FHP said troopers went to Tiger Woods' $2.4 million estate anyway, only for attorney Mark NeJame to turn them away. The attorney gave troopers Woods' driver's license, registration and insurance as required by law for such accidents.

TigerWoods said the crash was a private matter, and he intended to keep it that way.

"Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible," he said. "The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false."

Tiger Woods is scheduled to compete at his Chevron World Challenge, which starts Thursday in Thousand Oaks, Calif., although his tournament director did not know Woods' status for the tournament — whether he would play or even attend.

"We have been informed by the Florida Highway Patrol that further discussion with them is both voluntary and optional," Mark Steinberg, his agent at IMG, said in an e-mail. "Although Tiger realizes that there is a great deal of public curiosity, it has been conveyed to FHP that he simply has nothing more to add and wishes to protect the privacy of his family."

Woods' wife turned troopers away from their home in the exclusive gated community outside Orlando on Friday, the day of the accident, because she said he was sleeping. Steinberg called troopers en route to Woods' house on Saturday and postponed the meeting until Sunday.

"We're just continuing our traffic crash investigation," Montes said. "If we have somebody who we feel is pertinent to the investigation, then we will interview them."

She said the 911 caller was interviewed Saturday, and investigators might speak with other people who were at the scene as well.

The FHP released the 911 call from an unidentified neighbor on Sunday.

"I have a neighbor, he hit the tree. And we came out here just to see what was going on. I see him and he's laying down," the neighbor told dispatchers without ever identifying the victim as Woods.

Asked if the victim was unconscious, the neighbor replied, "Yes."

Part of the call were inaudible because of a bad connection. At one point, the voice of a woman is heard yelling, "What happened!"

"We're just trying to get the police here right now," the neighbor says to the woman. "We don't know what happened. We're figuring that out right now. I'm on the phone with the police right now."

According to the FHP accident report, Tiger Woods had just pulled out of his driveway when he struck a fire hydrant and then a tree. Tiger Woods said he had cuts, bruising and "right now I'm a little sore."

Montes said the Woods' car was towed for "safekeeping," and authorities have already documented where the damage is on the vehicle and the point of impact.

The accident came two days after the National Enquirer published a story alleging that Tiger Woods had been seeing a New York night club hostess, and that they recently were together in Melbourne, where Tiger Woods competed in the Australian Masters.

The woman, Rachel Uchitel, denied having an affair with Tiger Woods when contacted by The Associated Press.

Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred confirmed she was representing Uchitel when she was reached by the AP on Sunday.

"She is with me in L.A.," Allred said later in an e-mail to the AP. "We plan to meet and then we'll decide on the next step, which we do not plan to announce to the press."

Uchitel arrived at Los Angeles International Airport late Sunday morning, where she was met by Allred and escorted out of the baggage claim area and into a black car. Uchitel did not speak to reporters except to ask that she be left alone.

Aside from occasional criticism of his temper inside the ropes, Tiger Woods has kept himself out of the news beyond his sport. In an October posting on his Facebook account, Tiger Woods wrote, "I'm asked why people don't often see me and Elin in gossip magazines or tabloids. I think we've avoided a lot of media attention because we're kind of boring. ..."

Tiger Woods Remaining Tight-Lipped Over Early-Hours Crash

Tiger Woods claimed full responsibility last night for Friday’s mysterious car crash but for the third consecutive day refused to give his side of the story to the police.

Unanswered questions lingered, adding to speculation about his private life. What exactly, the media asked, was his wife doing brandishing a golf club over his semi-conscious body when police arrived on the scene? And rumours, vehemently denied, that he had been conducting an affair threatened to dent the once-flawless veneer of the world’s richest sporting star.

Woods, 33, had agreed to meet officers from the Florida Highway Patrol at his $2.4 million home in Orlando to discuss the incident and bare what remained of his facial wounds for inspection. But an hour before the meeting he abruptly cancelled it and issued a statement blaming himself for the crash and praising his wife’s “courage”.

“This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me,” Woods said. “I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Despite his mea culpa, investigators are anxious to establish the circumstances leading up to the accident, in which he crashed his Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant outside his home then hit a neighbour’s tree. It happened shortly after 2am on Friday.

Compounding the intrigue were suggestions that bloody scratches on his face may have been inflicted before the crash during a showdown with his wife, the Swedish model Elin Nordegren, 29. She told police that she used a golf club to smash the back window of his car and rescue him from the wreckage.

Reports of inconsistencies in her story added to the drama, with the celebrity news website tmz.com yesterday asserting that she gave conflicting accounts to officers at the scene, relating to how, when and why she fetched the golf club.

It quoted an unnamed friend of Woods saying that she had “gone ghetto” over allegations in the National Enquirer that he had been cheating on her with Rachel Uchitel, a New York party planner. Ms Nordegren scratched his face, then attacked his car with a golf club as he fled the house, causing him to crash, tmz.com claimed.

Woods dismissed such reports as “absolutely false” in a statement published on his website. He complained of “malicious” rumours that were being spread irresponsibly about his private life.

A transcript of the emergency call made by a neighbour on Friday sheds little light on the incident. The caller can be heard telling dispatchers: “I need an ambulance immediately, I have someone down outside my house ... It’s a car accident ... My neighbour, he hit the tree. I see him and he’s laying down.”

When the dispatcher asked whether the person was unconscious, the neighbour replied: “Yes.”

Woods’ agent took more than a day to deny that the golfer had having an affair. Ms Uchitel — who first came to public attention in 2001, when her boyfriend was killed in the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre — has also insisted that reports of the affair are untrue and has hired the celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred to represent her.

Police first went to Woods’ mansion, in a gated community, on Friday, only for his wife to ask if they could return the next day because he was sleeping. While they were on their way back there on Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol got a call from Woods’ agent to say that the couple were “unavailable” to talk until Sunday. Yesterday he was unavailable again.

Sergeant Kim Montes, a spokeswoman for the highway patrol, said: “It is unusual that we haven’t gotten a statement. This just delays us to getting closer to the completion of the investigation.”

Meanwhile, it came to light that although a highway patrol officer who attended the scene had noted on a report that the accident was not alcohol-related, neither a breath sample nor a blood sample was taken from Woods, who had spent Thursday celebrating Thanksgiving with his family.

Dan Rosenbaum, a lawyer who is not involved with the case, said: “He has a lot of endorsement money at stake, so he has to be very careful how this is handled and what the story is that comes out.”

He added that Woods and his advisers were likely to be working on a damage-control plan. “Lawyers will tell him to balance those sponsorship issues with what could be a career- ender. You might be able to live with talk of a domestic dispute, but you don’t want to be in a criminal situation.

Tiger Woods Car Accident - is He Hiding Something From The Police?

All over cable news stations is the story about Tiger Woods car accident. Apparently they are making a huge "investigation" out of it in an effort by the police to show that "celebrities aren't special"... I hate it when they do this because they are in fact doing exactly the opposite... they are putting these people under an enormous magnifying glass and trying to nit pick every detail of their lives.

Some people believe that Tiger Woods car accident is the result of him being high on oxycontin which he got addicted to after his knee surgeries. This could be the reason for the car crash as he could have nodded off or been distracted. However, this is not the prevailing theory at the moment.

Somebody smashed Tigers rear windshield out. The REAL story is that his wife found out about his affair with Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel, and chased him out of the house with a golf club. Apparently before he was chased out of the house with this golf club, he was struck by it. How ironic. Apparently, Tiger struggled to get in the car as she chased him with the golf club, and she smashed out his rear windshield. In an attempt by Tiger to not be killed by his wife, he told her that he had been hurt after he crashed his car into a fire hydrant.

I don't know who to believe! Some people are saying that Tiger Woods was drunk driving when he had his car accident, which explains why it looks so sketchy. The thing that is irritating to me though is that the police are opening an investigation into it. They are trying to draw attention to themselves by doing this. I have to ask you though, is Tiger Woods trying to hide something from the police? I'd like to hear your opinion, and as a reward for your opinion you can have the choice of a $1000 gas card or a $500 best buy gift card.

Tiger Woods Mistress Rachel Uchitel, Cheats on Elin Nordegren

Well, the world of celebrity gossip never ceases to amaze me. According to many sources, there is an affair going on between Tiger Woods and Tiger Woods Mistress Rachel Uchitel. She (tiger woods mistress) is a known party girl, and frequents the New York club scene.

It all started when a friend of Rachel Uchitel named Ashley Sampson detailed to the National Enquirer tabloid magazine the details of the affair, along with several pictures. Rachel promptly denied the allegations, causing a lashout by the magazine who promised to release all the details of the affair to the world.

We are so fascinated by celebrities that whenever one of them makes a mistake that a common person would, we put it under the largest magnifying glass imaginable. Obviously we don't hear about Joe Smith from Wisconsin having an affair... not only because he probably doesn't hang out with Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel or any super models for that matter.

My point is, did Tiger Woods do anything wrong? Many people would say that Tiger Woods is wrong for having an affair with his mistress Rachel Uchitel. There are also people that are cheering him on wildly. The thing is, Tiger Woods is a married man, and has kids! He is married to Elin Nordegren, also a gorgeous super model. It must have something to do with being the only athlete to make more than a billion dollars or something.

But, here's the juicy part. We want your opinion. We want you to tell us whether you think Tiger was wrong for having an affair with Rachel and cheating on Elin. We are also ready to reward you for your opinion. Cyber monday is tomorrow and everybody needs to get Christmas shopping done.

That is why we are offering the choice of a $500 best buy gift card or a $1000 gas card with your vote. So tell us what you think, and after you vote, select the reward you want below the poll, and BE SURE TO ENTER YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS on the page after you vote or your vote will NOT be credited and you will not recieve ANYTHING.

Cryptozoology And The Dover Demon

The Dover Demon, was seen during the year 1977, in Dover, Massachusetts - USA. This creature was reported as being 3 - 4 feet tall, and having a large hairless head, shaped like a watermelon. It had two large eyes that glowed a bright orange and green. It's body color was flesh-tone or more pinkish, it had long thin arms and legs, with large feet and hands. The strangest thing about the creatures features is, it has no signs of a nose or mouth.

This creature was sighted by some very credible witnesses whom all saw it close up, and it had very different colored eyes each encounter, and as some other creatures, it's eyes didn't just reflect light, they glowed brightly like lights. One time it's eyes glowed reddish-orange, the other time a bright green. The creature seemed to move and act like a small human male or child would as far as walking, climbing, etc. When a witness started moving towards it, the creature ran into a nearby woods at a speed faster than a human could.

The spiritual or supernatural aspects may be the creatures ability to change the colors of it eyes, if that is not something supernatural, certainly the lack of a mouth, nose and ears is. There is no way any physical creature could live with no means to eat or breath, which it could not do, since it had no mouth or nose.

As in the case of bigfoot, where native Americans (Indians), seem to know more about the creature than white men do, the same may be about ' The Dover Demon ', for centuries the Cree Indians talked about a race of creatures called: ' Mannegishi ', the Mannegishi are creatures that live in water or near it, they often climb about on rocks and ledges, and like to tip over canoes and small boats, drowning the person. The Cree Indians describe the mannegishi as semi-humanoid, with very thin and lanky arms and legs and big heads minus a nose and mouth, exactly like the ' Dover Demon '. And listen to this very important note about the creatures from the Cree Indians: The Mannegishi do not have gills or lungs, but take oxygen directly from the air or water around them through their skin. The Cree Indians also say the Mannegishi communicate by telepathy.

Investigation of the Dover Demon

Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman and ufologists Walter Webb and Ed Fogg interviewed the witnesses, parents, friends, teachers, school officials and police. There was no evidence of a hoax and the teens were described as credible. A local newspaper gave the creature its name, the “Dover Demon.”
What Was the Dover Demon?

The Boston Sunday Globe, October 29, 2006, published an article about Bartlett’s experience. He recounted what happened on that 1977 April night and said he had no idea as to what it was. He’s an artist with works displayed in galleries on both US coasts. He said that night’s events still haunt him. Internet sites and books feature his experience with the Dover Demon more frequently than his artwork.

Some consider the demon a cryptid, an unidentified mysterious animal, UMA, but it was only seen for three days and is, most likely, not a naturally occurring species. Cryptid sightings occur over longer stretches of time. Some ufologists theorized it was an alien or a human mutant as a result of an ET experiment gone awry. There are those who believe it was a being from another dimension, transferred to earth through a warp. What the Dover Demon was remains a mystery.

Dover Demon Witnesses Saw a Strange Creature with a Big Head and Skinny Body

All three witnesses were teenagers. The descriptions, except for one detail, didn’t vary. Some thought it was a teenage prank; however experts in the paranormal extensively interviewed them and others who knew them and found the teens to be credible. Even today, one of the witnesses, now a prominent artist, is still haunted by the April 1977 event.

Dover Demon - First Sighting
What came to be known as the Dover Demon was first seen at 10:30 p.m. on April 21, 1977, in Dover, Massachusetts, a tony suburb of Boston. Three 17 year olds were in a car when one of them, Bill Bartlett, glimpsed something creeping next to a wall of stones on the west side of the street. The creature turned its head and looked directly into the car’s headlights. The teen saw two large, shiny orange eyes glowing brightly. Its large oval head as large as the rest of its body was on top of a skinny neck. The body, less than four feet tall, was gangly with large hands and feet. The hairless skin appeared to be rough- textured.

None of the others in the car saw the critter. They testified later that Bartlett seemed genuinely distressed. When the teen arrived home his father noticed how upset he was. Bartlett drew a sketch of the entity to show him what he saw.

Second Sighting of the Dover Demon

April 22, 1977, approximately 12:30 AM, John Baxter, 15, was walking home from his girlfriend's house. He noticed a short figure walking toward him. He thought it was a friend of his. He called out his friend's name, but there was no answer. As they grew closer, the creature stopped. Baxter approached it to see who or what it was. It scurried down a shallow gully, rested, then went up the opposite bank.

When it was at the bottom of the slope Baxter looked more intently at it. The creature had its arms wrapped around a tree trunk. The fingers were very long. His description of the creature matched Bartlett's.

Dover Demon's Third Sighting
On the evening of April 23, 1977, Will Taintor, 15, was driving Abby Brabham, 15, home. Brabham said she saw something in the vehicle’s headlights. On the left side of the road, there was a hairless creature, down on all four limbs, facing the vehicle. The body was lanky and it had large, oversized oval head. Its eyes glowed green. When she was told Bartlett he said the eyes were orange, she said they appeared green to her.

Dover Demon Image

Does the above image look familiar to you? It certainly does to me. It resembles the drawings of the Dover Demon seen in Dover, Massachusetts, from April 1977. However, it actually is from a newspaper article published in New York City on December 3, 1893.

This drawing was discovered by Robert Schneck (the author of The President’s Vampire) and shared with me, of course, because of my foundation interest in the Dover Demon. My appreciation to Schneck for bringing this to my attention.

The 1893 drawing is not of a sighting of any creature, however, but an artist’s (perhaps humorous) imagined illustration of how humans might appear in the future, viewed from the Victorian era. Specifically, the work is tied to the fictional writings of H. G. Wells and his little-known article, “The Man of the Year Million.” It is Wells who has predicted the future of humans will see a diminishing of their hair, nose, teeth, ears, and chin. The above 1893 drawing appears to be an attempt to capture Wells’ thoughts in a bit of newspaper art.

It is a sad commentary that as a reflection of the man of today, near the 1893 Dover Demon-like drawing, Schneck also found an image from an ad about paid (10¢) viewings of a “wild hairy man.” This was obviously an indigenous person (perhaps from Oceania) in an entertainment sideshow.

Dover Demon Sightings in North America

1977 Dover Massachusetts USA: On April 21 and 22 there were sightings of a strange creature that could not be easily explained or likened to any other known animal in the Massachusetts region.

The first sighting occurred after dark and a creature was seen by 3 teenaged boys. The trio of seventeen-year-olds was driving near Dover, Massachusetts, when the headlights of their car shone on something animal-like. At first guess, the animal might have been a dog or cat, but as the youngsters gazed longer, the animal seemed to have an unfamiliar shape and appeared to be crawling on a stone wall, along Farm Street.

Bill Bartlett was the teen who was driving the car on this night, and he later said the animal had a watermelon-shaped head, orange eyes that were like glassy marbles.

Other sightings were reported soon after the three teens saw the creature.

Unfortunately, reports of the creature deemed Dover Demon have been largely discredited because the witnesses of this strange form have all been teenagers.

Not long after Bartlett allegedly saw the creature, another teen had a brief encounter with it, right on the same night. Technically the sighting occurred on April 22, because a youth, John Baxter saw the creature at half past midnight.

Baxter had been visiting his girlfriend on the evening of April 21. The 15-year old was going home when a small figure approached from some distance away. Assuming that the figure was a friend of his who was of short stature, young John Baxter called out the friend's name, but received no verbal response.

The two continued to get closer to each other, but then the unknown figure stopped, so Baxter also stood still. After a moment, Baxter choose to investigate and get a better look at whoever this was exhibiting sort of secretive behavior, and he started to walk again, toward the figure. At this, the creature bolted, ran down into a gully, then back up onto the other side of the bank of the gully, but it stopped on this other side and stood still.

Baxter observed these actions and continued to peer into the shadows where the figure had paused. Baxter tried to get a better look at the figure that had just fled, and he concluded that from what he could see, that he'd never heard of or seen anything like this creature before.

The creature remained in the shadows at a distance of about 30 feet away and its feet seemed molded around the rock on which it stood, while its hands were molded around the trunk of a tree. The fingers appeared greatly elongated. Baxter left the area and returned home.

The rest of Baxter's description of the creature matched the details that Bill Bartlett reported, but it appears that Baxter's experience with the creature may have been of longer duration than Bartlett's. Baxter was on foot and actually remained paused for a while in attempting to see what the unknown figure was in the dark outdoors. Bartlett had been in a moving vehicle earlier in the evening when he saw the creature of Dover Demon.

The Cryptid Zoo: The Dover Demon

The Dover demon is a small humanoid reported from Massachusetts. It was the subject of an intensive scare during the 1970s, when multiple witnesses came forward with their sightings. The Dover demon is described as looking sort of like the "gray" variety of alien, except that it has skin of a rosy orange instead of sickly gray.

The Dover demon has a large head on a small, stick-like body. It can be bipedal, but it often travels on all fours or switches back and forth between the two modes of locomotion. It has eyes that glow, sometimes orange, sometimes green. It does not seem to wear any clothing, unless the clothing fits tightly and is the same color as its body. Unlike the grays, the Dover demon does not seem to be associated with UFOs. It just wanders around on its own.

Cryptozoologists seldom show interest in the Dover demon. First of all, mainstream cryptozoologists are rarely willing to seriously investigate humanoids other than hairy humanoids. Also, it seems that sightings only happened during a short time period, with most claiming that sightings have now ceased, so the Dover demon does not seem to be a pressing matter.

The Dover demon is, however, a preoccupation of fringe cryptozoologists. Believers are likely to try to classify it in the same alien/angel/fairy complex that is a popular destination for all unexplained extra-weird non-hairy humanoids.

Skeptics usually claim that the Dover demon was simply a lost baby moose glimpsed under unusual conditions that made it seem like a bizarre humanoid that sometimes went on four legs. People who don't believe that explanation point out that all sightings happened during the wrong time of year for a moose that small to exist, and they also point out that Massachusetts is far from normal moose habitat. Even if such an orphan moose had been wandering around so close to populated areas, it seems as if it would have been easily captured.

If the explanatory power of the baby moose explanation appeals to you, then you could get around the worst objection by substituting a creature that does actually exist in the area and can be born any time of year: a baby calf. An orange-furred orphan calf would be a more likely candidate for such a proposal than a baby moose.

Description Dover Demon

The frightening events known as the Dover Demon encounters began at 10:30 p.m. on April 21, 1977, in Dover, Massachusetts, an upscale suburb of Boston. Three teenagers, aged seventeen years old each were driving along, when one of them, Bill Bartlett, spotted "something" slinking next to a wall of stones on the west side of the street.

The thing turned it's head and looked directly into the headlights of the car. Bartlett swore he saw two large, shiny eyes glowing brightly "like orange marbles." Its large oval head, which was easily as large as the rest of it's body sat atop a spindly neck. The body was lanky and long limbed and had large hands and feet. The skin was hairless and seemed to have a rough texture, not unlike sandpaper.

It was less than four feet tall, and seemed surprised by the cars head lights as it made its way next to the wall. None of the others in the car saw the creature, which was only visible for a few seconds. They did testify later that their companion seemed genuinely distraught. When Bartlett arrived home his father noted how distressed he was. Bartlett then drew a sketch of the being. At approximately 12:30 a.m. John Baxter, aged fifteen, was walking home from his girlfriends house when he noticed a short figure walking toward him. Baxter thought it was a small friend of his, and called out this friends name, but he received no answer. As they neared one another the creature stopped, and so did Baxter, who then decided to get a better look and began once again to approach the creature. This sent the being running down a shallow gully and up the opposite bank.

At the bottom of the slope he looked more closely at it. It looked unlike anything he had ever seen or heard of before in his young life. It stood in shadows about thirty feet away, its feet "molded" around some rocks upon which it was perched, a few feet from a tree. Both hands were wrapped around the trunk of the tree with very long fingers. He left the scene after that, and his description of the entity was exactly the same as Bartlett's.

The following evening, eighteen year old Will Taintor was driving fifteen year old Abby Brabham home, when Brabham said she spotted something in the vehicles headlights. On the left side of the roadway was a creature, with no hair and down on all fours, facing the vehicle. Its body was thin and monkeylike, and she also described a large, oversized oval head. She did say the eyes glowed green, and stuck to that point even when she was informed that Bartlett had said the eyes were orange. Taintor said he had only gotten a short glimpse.

Paranormal investigator Loren Coleman, who lived in the area, heard about the Bartletts experience through a mutual acquaintance. As a result, he was interviewed, along with the other witnesses by ufologists Walter Webb and Ed Fogg. They also interviewed the parents, friends, teachers, school officials and police. They found nothing to indicate a hoax, to the contrary, those who knew the witnesses considered them as credible. A local paper dubbed the creature the "Dover Demon."

It should be pointed out that Martin Kottmeyer claims that the young men and lady saw a baby moose and misidentified it. While misperception may have played a role in what they saw, it is hard to imagine mistaking a moose for the creature that they described.

Possible identity Of Dover Demon

The Dover Demon is currently a classic cryptid, with a variety of theories abounding as to what it was or is. Early ufologists first promoted speculation that the creature was an alien or some sort of mutant hybrid, perhaps one created as a result of a human experiment and escaped.

Others theorize that it is really a being from another dimension, accidentally transferred into our world through a dimensional warp. It has been speculated by various ufologists that the Dover Demon was a Grey, due to its similar appearance.

One zoological answer that has been proposed is that it was a newborn moose. One skeptic wrote that the description of the creature's head matched that of a baby moose. Among several shortcomings of the moose explanation is that the descriptions of the Dover Demon clearly discerned fingers, while all moose, being artiodactyls, have only hooves.

Loren Coleman disputes this theory, stating that at the time of year of the sightings, yearling moose are much larger, and no moose records exist for eastern Massachusetts for the spring of 1977. Coleman additionally points out that all the witnesses had separate experiences, did not talk to each other before investigators interviewed them, and did not necessarily agree on exact descriptive details of the sighting. No conclusive evidence has been found for the existence of the Dover Demon.

The Dover Demon bears similarity to the Mannegishi creature, which is native to the mythology of the Cree Indians in Canada. Coleman also notes that cryptozoologist Mark A. Hall links the Dover Demon to other sightings of aquatic beings from around the world, often lumped under the moniker "merbeings". It is also suggested to be a Backoo, a mythical spirit creature from Caribbean legends due to similarities in the body structures.

During the spate of American sightings in Dover in 1977, all the witnesses were teenagers. This has been pointed out often in analyses of the Dover Demon sighting phenomenon. Writers with a new-age or spiritual bent often write of it as a poltergeist-type being, something with a strong field of spiritual energy that naturally connects it with the young. This reflects a recurring theme from the annals of cryptozoology, this being one of many entities whose sightings all befell witnesses from the same age group. An unfortunate comparison is made to the Owlman incidents, but skeptics rightfully point to the Owlman episodes having elements of pagan prankishness in evidence in those British events. In reality, sorting for age groups and other demographics elements can be found underlying any witness series.

Because all the witnesses were teenagers, many believe it to be a hoax, and suspect that a group of high school classmates of collaborating to make up the story.

History Of Dover Demon

The Dover Demon was first sighted at night by three seventeen-year olds who were driving through the Dover area when the car's headlights illuminated it. Bill Bartlett, the driver, reported that he saw what he thought at first was a dog or a cat, but upon closer inspection realized that it was a bizarre, unearthly-looking creature crawling along a stone wall on Farm Street.

Bartlett continued to watch the creature, and he reported it to have a disproportionately large, watermelon-shaped head and illuminated orange eyes, like glass marbles. It had long, thin arms and legs with slender fingers, which it used to grasp onto the pavement. It was hairless and had rough, flesh-toned skin, described as tan and sandpaper-like. The creature's appearance was very plain, with no nose or ears, and no mouth was seen. The witness drawings portray its head as having a skull shape, forming the contour of a circle on top with a more elliptical ending projecting down to include where the nose and mouth would be.

The creature was sighted an hour later, by John Baxter, 15, as he was walking home. He said it was bipedal and ended up running into a gully and standing next to a tree. The next day, Abby Brabham, 15, and Will Traintor, 18, claimed to have seen a similar looking creature from Traintor's car, on the side of the road. Brabham's description matched Bartlett's and Baxter's descriptions, except this time the cryptid had illuminated green eyes. She approximated its height as "about the size of a goat". Investigators attempted to shake up Ms. Brabham by noting she said it had green eyes reflected by car headlights, while Bartlett mentioned orange eyes were reflected back to him by his automobile's lights. Ms. Brabham was steadfast in her description.

Bartlett, Baxter, Brabham, and Traintor all drew sketches of the monstrous sight shortly after their sightings. On the piece of paper that includes Bartlett's sketch, he wrote "I, Bill Bartlett, swear on a stack of Bibles that I saw this creature."

The widespread interest in the Dover Demon has resulted in it being an oft-discussed cryptid in popular culture, and having Japanese figurines of the creature being developed for cryptobuffs in Japan and North America.

Dover Demon

The Dover Demon is an alleged cryptozoological creature sighted on three separate occasions in the town of Dover, Massachusetts on April 21 and April 22, 1977.

It has remained a subject of interest for cryptozoologists ever since then. Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman was the initial investigator and the individual who named the creature the Dover Demon; it was disseminated by the press, and the name stuck.

Coleman quickly assembled and brought into the inquiry three other investigators: Joseph Nyman, Ed Fogg, and Walter Webb. All were well-known ufological researchers in eastern Massachusetts, with Webb being the assistant director of the Hayden Planetarium at Boston's Science Museum.

Coleman did not feel he was necessarily dealing with a ufological phenomenon, but he wanted to have seasoned investigators with good interviewing skills to do a comprehensive examination of the eyewitnesses and their families, as well as law enforcement, educational, and community members.

A gazebo is a perfect addition to anyone’s back yard, regardless of size, style or materials. It can brighten up an empty garden and allow people to actually enjoy the environment and have a relaxing place to hang out. Gazebos are perfect for your children’s new playground or a spot for outdoor gatherings right at the comfort of your home.

Gazebo tents provide the same benefits of the traditional gazebo, with the exception that it can be put up or down easily when the event or the day ends. Just like ordinary gazebos that you install for long-term use, a gazebo tent can take on different forms, sizes and styles to fit your own style and complement your house and outdoor environment.

A gazebo tent can also be used in any weather condition, whether you need the tent for shade during a sunny day or you need it to keep you dry during a rainy afternoon. It is ideal for any outdoor function, regardless of weather condition or number of people to accommodate.

Pros And Cons Of A Gazebo Tent

Gazebo tents are designed to keep you safe from environmental elements. It functions similarly to the traditional gazebos you find on back yards and other places. However, the good thing about a gazebo tent is that you can easily bring your gazebo to other places and set it up to accommodate many people. You can bring it to concerts, beaches, garage sales, and other people’s back yard and set it up for outdoor use.

Since you can bring the gazebo tent from one place to the next, you cannot install swings, built-in tables and sturdy materials for roof or doors. However, you can add a net for your tent that you can use outdoors during a camping trip to protect you from insect bites. Fortunately, most gazebo tents are designed with sturdy and heavy-duty steel frames that you can easily set up in several minutes.

Unlike custom-built gazebos that are installed in houses, buying a gazebo tent will not give you enough choices for sizes, shapes and styles because these kinds of tents are pre-made and sold by manufacturer’s standards and styles. Thus, if you prefer a tent that will complement your house, finding the appropriate kind will be a frustrating task.

Nonetheless, gazebo tents are perfect for any outdoor event wherein people need protection from environmental elements. These easy-to-install gazebos can accommodate large groups of people during parties, gatherings or simple hangouts.

Gazebo makes a hot tub look cool

While buying a hot tub, it is necessary to have a detailed rundown of all those supplies and accessories which you will like to have in your hot tub. If you are one of those who like your spa to be an ultimate relaxation and entertainment hub, then go for a hot tub gazebo which already comes installed with a LCD monitor and a DVD player.

Splurge on your hot Tub
If money is not an issue, you can splurge on installing a marine radio and CD player with waterproof speakers, a remote controller on the top side of the tub. Once done, just enjoy the music or hear the TV through these speakers. Another feature one must have is fibre optic lighting. Bunch of small lights around the top of the tub which change colour make the hot tub look very fancy. At night they will provide a great deal of light and enable you to look around for CDs, drinks, towels and chemicals.

Construct a Gazebo
One doesn’t need to freeze while climbing in and out of the spa; instead of that, surround the hot tub with a Gazebo to keep yourself warm in the winter. Over here going in for a larger gazebo will allow you the luxury of having racks and a storage space for chemicals and towels. Another important thing to note out here is one should install a gazebo which has a sliding door and not a window. In a scenario, if something freezes then it will only be the windows and the sliding door. Lastly put in a few stools and furniture in the gazebo to make it a place where you and your family can have a good time.

Arctic Hot Tubs is one of the leading manufacturers and dealers of hot tubs and spas in Toronto, Canada. It combines the most advanced technology with world-class construction to offer you a high quality hot tub gazebo

Garden Gazebos For The Full Garden Experience

Imagine a beautiful garden, full of flowers and plant life kept perfectly healthy in its own carefully regulated ecosystem. Maybe there are garden ponds on each side of a bridge, or if the gardener has gone to the full extreme, maybe even koi ponds, filled with some of the most beautiful fish in existence.. But something is missing. What is that missing link that could tie everything together? For many avid garden enthusiasts, a truly remarkable garden is not complete without a garden gazebo.

For many hard working garden architects, a garden gazebo is the perfect way to accent your garden. Imagine being able to walk along a path between the koi pond and the bushel of flowers exploding in a bright rainbow array of colors. Maybe some more hedges, maybe some flowers and the appropriate cypress tree for shade, and then having a gazebo sitting right there, calling for you to sit down and rest, to enjoy everything around you without putting any more pressure on your feet. Its shade will be a welcome additional comfort, and its architecture will add that special touch to your garden, striking the balance between nature and humanity, a balance that is rarely caught with any type of success, making it all the more striking in that special garden. No matter what the environment of your garden, there is a garden gazebo out there just waiting to be the crowning touch to an otherwise almost perfect back yard garden.

In deciding on the right garden gazebo for you, one of the first choices that will have to be made is to choose your building material from wood, metal, or vinyl. Metal gives a long guarantee of sturdiness, though depending on the garden it can feel out of place and actually clash a little with the otherwise peaceful flow that you meant for the garden to create. Vinyl has a variety of plusses and minuses, and for vinyl gazebos there are a wide array of acceptable options, it just really depends on the specific gazebo in that case. Wood is by far and away the most common choice, and for very good reason: it goes with any natural environment. What type of wood is available generally depends on who you are buying from and what design you choose. Almost every dealer will at least have pine and cedar. Pine is the softest wood and complements surrounding evergreens for obvious reasons. Cedar is higher in overall sturdiness, is less prone to rot, and ages to a gray-brown. This is generally the most popular choice because of its combination of sturdiness and appearance.

A garden gazebo is not a new idea. Having gazebos or gazebo like structures in a garden has been seen for centuries. The elegance of a garden gazebo, and the ability to sit comfortably in the middle of a beautiful garden, made both extremely popular. Whether for showing off to other aristocracy, or for a young poet trying to find her muse, the garden gazebos were, and are, very popular, and for good reason. If you have an amazing garden, look at a garden gazebo. There is no better way to enjoy a beautiful garden than from within.

Jul Gazebo Building Plans - What To Consider Before Building Any Gazebo

Gazebos are charming structures and can add beauty and character to just about any piece of property. Think about it-a plain green lawn is boring. A green lawn with a gazebo in the middle of it is charming and quaint. Is it any wonder, then, that so many homeowners want to put one of their own on their property? With the proper set of gazebo building plans, building your own is not only possible, it can become a reality. Building your own gazebo can save you quite a bit of money as well!

Gazebos come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and styles. Choosing the right plans can be a challenge. Before you decide upon the style, shape or even the size of the one you want to build...you should take a minute to narrow your choices down to those that you are confident that you can build. Pretty pictures can often get us to take on many projects that are out of our leagues.

Be honest with yourself. Are your construction skills up to a major challenge, or is something simpler a better choice? Remember, a simple construction project can easily be "dressed up" later on!

After you have narrowed down your plan choices to what you can build, you can narrow them further by figuring out how much space you have available. It is possible for a "quaint and charming" gazebo to completely dwarf and over power a smaller sized yard.

Gazebo building plans are not hard to find. A few quick searches will probably turn up more plans than you know what to do with. This is why it is important to be practical about your project before you begin sifting through the plans that you have found. With the proper practicality, your yard can have a beautiful and charming gazebo of its very own!

Do You Have A Good Gazebo Plan

It is very important that the garden plans are both beautiful and emotionally restorative. A garden can provide a visual, perfumed, sound and tactile, sensory experience. The garden design needs to compliment the home and connect the interiors with the external environment, making the most of the available usable areas. Master planners know that the selection of plants is of equal importance along with their strategic placement on the landscape. Garden plans also include the planning of the garden gates, arbors, gazebo as well as garden furniture.

Modular design and a unique frame layout can make a simple garden gazebo. The garden gazebo is the perfect place to relax or to hold family dinners, weddings, and other special events. A gazebo in the garden plan ensures a favorite spot to unwind. Another important criterion for the garden is its gate. An attractive gate makes a warm welcome for guests. The gate combined with a proper floor or patio definitely draws one outdoors. The proper garden furniture also comes under the garden plans. The furniture is decided according to the theme of the garden. For example an arbor is inevitable for a bird-friendly garden. With a canopy one can relax in the shade of an arbor garden even during the sunniest days. A greenhouse can be created to protect the outdoor plants from damage by frost and cold weather.

Build A Gazebo

Many people love the adrenaline rush created when you build something on their own. For this reason you might be considering building a gazebo from scratch. This article explores some tips and techniques you?ll need before you embark on your handyman adventure.

First of all you will need a gazebo plan that suits not only your creative style and design preference, but also your budget. If creating a plan seems tough, you?re not alone. You can find many plans either online, a bookstore or your local library.

Free plans are out there but if you have a specific idea of what you want and a particular kind of gazebo in mind then you can usually buy them at the cost of a few dollars to several hundred depending on the intricacy of the design. The reason for the cost difference is that they are architectural blueprints with complex details, and measurements so you?re paying for what you get. A word of advice, the blue prints can be a major investment for beginners with little experience. Blue prints are normally best left to contractors with experience.

For those with the skills, creativity and drive an inexpensive gazebo plan can still give you an amazing product. The internet is a great resource for anything from simple plans to more complicated designs. These plans vary in size and style, so your only task is to find one that suits you best. Once you have decided on the right plan you can go about gathering the right tools necessary for the job. These include general carpentry tools like a screw gun, compound or sliding miter saw and a level.

The right tools will ensure that you can do the angular and circular cutting techniques required for your design. Finding the right material to build your gazebo on is very important. Bolting the gazebo to a slab of concrete might be best or using a wooden floor that is already there is an option as well. But remember to speak with your local government agency about any digging or building that you might be planning. This can save you from cutting into any underground cables or unnecessarily breaking any local by-laws when it comes to height or building structures in your backyard.

It is also better to build a gazebo with the right kind of wood. Some popular woods for outdoor structures are cedar, pine and redwood. Of these basic wood types, pine is the softest which makes it easy to handle. The other two are more difficult to work with and are more expensive, however, have the tendency to last longer. Other options that can save you time and money are vinyl or metal gazebos. If building a gazebo from scratch is not exactly what you?re looking for, then you can purchase a gazebo kit with all the materials needed for the project.

The Enduring, Alluring Gazebo

From their origins as rooftop structures, used mainly for observation, to their present status, gazebos have taken many forms. Throughout their colorful history, they have been known as summerhouses, screen houses, kiosks, pavilions, pergolas, arbors, grottos, and pagodas.

The word ‘gazebo' first appeared in the 1752 book, New Designs for Chinese Temples,' by architect William Halfpenny. Though no one is certain, etymologists speculate that Halfpenny invented the word by playfully adding the Latin ending -ebo, as in videbo (‘I shall see') to the word ‘gaze' to get the meaning ‘I will look.'

Prized by members of Egyptian royalty, gazebos were essential parts of their gardens, and have been found, depicted in murals, in tombs dating to 1400 b.c. They were also popular with the aristocracy of ancient Rome and Pompeii, and were built as summerhouses along the Mediterranean.

Today, gazebos have grown so popular in this country, that they are almost as common as garages. Although some are still used as quiet places to enjoy the beauty of a garden, others have been elevated to loftier positions, as summerhouses, or lavish entertainment centers, with doors, windows, screens, decks, electricity, and plumbing. Many have special lighting, hot tubs, fire pits, and brick barbecues. Arbors, ornamental fountains, bird feeders, birdbaths, wishing wells, koi ponds, and bridges, are also popular landscaping accessories for gazebos.

From wood to synthetics, there are several types of material from which gazebos may be constructed. Radiant, durable Western Red Cedar, for example, has natural oils that protect it from decay, while its dimensional stability helps to keep it from warping. Cedar may be sealed and stained to maintain its reddish hue, or allowed to weather to a rich gray.

Pressure-treated pine also makes a sturdy, long-lasting gazebo because it is highly resistant to decay and insect damage. A kiln-drying process, before and after pressure treatment, minimizes warping, checking, and twisting. As with all wood gazebos, a stain/sealer should be applied to the entire structure, including the floor and the roof, once a year, to protect it from the elements.

Vinyl gazebos are made with treated pine that has been covered with an attractive vinyl coating, which results in an exceptionally durable, maintenance-free finish.
