People Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie Fighting Tell-All Book

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are at war with a former bodyguard who's shopping a tell-all book or TV show based on his years working for the couple. Apparently no one's offered to buy Mickey Brett's story yet, but Brangelina's legal team already has landed several body blows, pointing out in news stories that he's been arrested a bunch of times, that he was once questioned in a murder investigation, that he signed a confidentiality statement and that he is, in general, a "pathological liar."
Brett has been a bodyguard for such A-listers as Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Richard Gere and Sandra Bullock. His reported project would cull anecdotes from his years with all the stars, but reportedly would focus primarily on Pitt and Jolie.
The case has sent shock waves through Tinseltown, as stars are known to employ scores of guards, nannies, beauticians and other such workers. These employees are required to sign confidentiality agreements, but if someone like Brett can get around this and still publish a tell-all, then the rest of us schlubs will start reading lies about celebrities in books instead of reading them in the tabloids, and the Earth could very well fall off its axis and we'd all freeze to death. Scary stuff, that.
Brett's ghostwriter, Robin McGibbon, insists there is no tell-all planned at this point.
"Mickey was definitely going to consider a book or TV deal if the offer was good enough," says McGibbon. But at this point, he said, "there's not going to be any book."
So why does he have a ghost writer?
MISS CALIFORNIA STILL MAKING PEOPLE MAD: A representative for the Miss California pageant Monday called reigning queen Carrie Prejean a liar, insisting that no one from the pageant told her to apologize for her remarks opposing same-sex marriage during the Miss USA pageant.
Prejean, 21, claimed during Sunday services at her San Diego church that producers of the state pageant told her to apologize to the gay community and to avoid mentioning religion when she appeared last week on "Today" and other national programs. But San Diego public relations representative Roger Neal, who does PR for the Miss California pageant, said contest officials never told Prejean any such thing. They only told her to reiterate that she didn't mean to offend anyone and to use the national spotlight "to heal some wounds," he said.
Prejean drew controversy during the Miss USA pageant when she replied to a question posed by openly gay celeb blogger Perez Hilton that she felt marriage should only be between a man and woman, even if the man is Donald Trump. She finished second and has speculated she lost because of the gay marriage statement. She has also been widely praised by conservative groups for sticking to her beliefs in a difficult situation. Prejean has not commented on Neal's remarks. The Miss California pageant is a subsidiary of the Miss USA pageant, which Trump owns.
BECAUSE YOU DIED TWO MOVIES AGO, REMEMBER?: Remember that famous "Saturday Night Live" skit when William Shatner screams at a bunch of "Star Trek" conventioneers to "get a life?" Well, now it's his turn. Shatner is once again bemoaning the fact that he, the original Capt. James T. Kirk, wasn't given a role in the new "Star Trek" movie, which opens May 8.
"How could you not put one of the founding figures into a movie that was being resurrected?" he said. "That doesn't make good business sense. I've become even more popular than when I was playing Captain Kirk. I'm good box office — and I get good publicity."
Shatner has sparred with "Trek" director J.J. Abrams, who claims Shatner rejected a part in the film because he wanted more screen time.
TWINS FOR PARKER, BRODERICK: Everyone's been talking about Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick breaking up.
Instead, they're having twins. Parker and Broderick released a statement Tuesday saying they are expecting twin daughters via a surrogate mother.
"Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate," the couple's publicists said in a statement. "The entire family is overjoyed."
Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, also have a son, 6-year-old James Wilkie. They have been married for just less than 12 years.
UH, OH: Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, the Chicago Sun Times reported Tuesday.
The paper quoted sources as saying the pair have resumed their relationship and are living together.
Brown has been charged with felony assault and making criminal; threats after allegedly beating Rihanna during a fight Feb. 8.
Angelina Jolie Too Sexy For Movie

A movie director has told how he turned down sizzling Angelina Jolie as a young unknown -because she was too sexy.
Italian movie maker Stefano Salvati screen tested the actress for a role in his now long forgotten 1996 musical film Jolly Blu.
But now he's revealed how he rejected her for the part because her boobs were too huge and her pouting lips were too sensual.
The potty producer explained: "I don't regret my choice."
"At that time Jolie was a 20-year-old girl, really thin, with ovesized lips like now, but with rounder cheeks than she has now," he said in an interview with Italian showbiz magazine 'Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni'.
But it was Angelina's huge boobs that ruled her out for the role, which eventually went to unknown Italian showgirl Alessia Merz who starred opposite singer Max Pezzali.
And Salvati now believes the girl who went on to become one of the hottest names in Hollywood had some discrete cosmetic surgery following his rejection.
"Looking at her now, I think she had had some little operations for making her face thinner and her nose too.
"I think she had a little operation for reducing her boobs too, because at that time they were disproportionate. In the end she was too sexy for that role," he explained.

After so much time has gone by, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston seem to have grown to value their friendship more, a new report claims. and Angelina Jolie might be steamed over a secret gift that Jen gave Brad. According to In Touch, Brad is wearing a necklace she gave him for his 45th birthday on December 18.
"It’s an antique pendant,” a confidante tells the magazine, adding that she left it for him at the offices of his production company, Plan B. “She found it, and knew Brad would love it.”
The report adds that "Oddly, it isn’t the first gift she’s given him. The confidante reveals that in the years since their divorce, Jen has never forgotten Brad’s birthday - sending presents to Plan B or through mutual friends, rather than his home, so as not to “stir up trouble” with Angelina."
“Jen’s never had anything but fond feelings for Brad. She can’t help it.” Should Angie be worried? While Brad and Jen’s friends insist their relationship is purely platonic, the associate says, “Jen and Brad both seem to agree that they gave up on their marriage without enough of a fight. They’ve had many ‘what if’ conversations.”

More American mothers trust Jennifer Aniston with their kids than Angelina Jolie, according to a new poll.
Ellen DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi -- who have no children -- topped a ParentDish.com poll of more than 10,000 moms that asked which star they would feel most comfortable leaving their kids with.

They nabbed 31 percent of votes, while the single Aniston came in second with 22 percent. Jolie and beau Brad Pitt -- who have six kids -- nabbed 18 percent of votes; Oprah Winfrey got just nine percent.

Princess Diana Biographer Andrew Morton Sets Sights on Angelina Jolie

The former tabloid journalist and writer has already dissected the lives of some of the most controversial figures of the day, including Princess Diana, Monica Lewinsky and Tom Cruise.
Now, according to the New York Post's Page Six gossip slot, he will turn his attention to award-winning actress and humanitarian campaigner Angelina Jolie.
Miss Jolie's colourful life will provide plenty of material. Twice divorced, she has had a long-running feud with actor father Jon Voight and has adopted a string of children.
Professionally, she has risen to become one of Hollywood's leading actresses, starring in films including Lara Croft Tomb Raider, A Mighty Heart, The Good Shepherd and Changeling. It was on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith that she met her now partner, Brad Pitt, with whom she has adopted several children.
The couple are also famed for their humanitarian work in the world's trouble spots and Miss Jolie is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
Mr Morton's unauthorised book about the star will reportedly be produced by US publishing giant St. Martin's Press next winter.
His previous work includes the 1992 exposé Diana, Her True Story, for which the Princess of Wales was later revealed to have been the main source.
More recently, a biography of Tom Cruise brought legal threats after Morton suggested the Top Gun star had tailored his life to helping further the cause of the Church of Scientology and had become its de-facto second-in-command.
Mr Cruise has vehemently denied Morton's allegations.

Jolie s Bethpage Film Set is Now A Hot Property

Columbia Pictures is negotiating to make a second movie in the Bethpage building where it's now filming the Angelina Jolie thriller "Salt."
While no deals are yet signed, Plant 5 at the former Grumman facility is "being considered for potential use on another production," a representative of the motion picture company said recently.
The move is one small step in the potential transformation of a space that once was a huge economic engine for the region. Private developer Parviz Farahzad, who owns the building and a tract of land at the facility, has said in the past that he hopes to rent out the plant as a studio on a regular basis. Farahzad, the head of Lunar Module Park Llc, did not immediately return a call from Newsday.
Any movie that could be made at the site, where two lunar excursion modules were assembled in the late 1960s and early '70s, would have to wait at least until Jolie's film about a CIA operative is wrapped.
Columbia, a unit of Sony Entertainment, has a lease there through the end of June. More than 100 crew and cast members are at work on location. Individuals who have been on the set of "Salt" say five rooms in Plant 5 are being used by the crew - two as offices and three for reproducing locations that include a mausoleum, a corridor of the White House and offices of the CIA.
Since March, Jolie has been filming at the site. She has relocated to Long Island with her husband, Brad Pitt, and their multinational brood of six children. |
Angelina Jolie And Victoria Beckham Design Jewellery For Celebrity Auction

Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz and Ricky Gervais have also designed jewellery or added autographs to the collection, which will be previewed at auction house Bonhams in New Bond Street, London next Tuesday.
Following the display, the exhibits will return to New York before being auctioned at Bonhams and Butterfields in Los Angeles on May 28.
Half of the proceeds of the auction, which is being organised by Los Angeles-based charity auction campaign Stars For A Cause, will go to charities chosen by the participating stars.
The other half will go to the Prince's Trust, which helps young people develop confidence, motivation and skills to find work.
Other jewellery items include designs from Charlize Theron, Goldie Hawn and Miley Cyrus, while Sir Ben Kingsley has designed a pair of cuff-links.
Also up for auction are a Balthazar and Methuselah of Moet & Chandon champagne signed by Colin Farrell, Susan Sarandon and Gervais as well as limited-edition posters for the Golden Globe Awards autographed by Brad Pitt, Jolie, Tom Hanks, Sigourney Weaver and Winslet.
